Pure Storage Unveils Groundbreaking Self-Service Autonomous Storage Environment: Pure Fusion

In an effort to merge innovative enterprise storage with the agility and scalability of the cloud, Pure Storage has debuted Pure Fusion, an industry-first storage-as-code platform that offers users a cloud operating model to provision, consume, and manage storage for all enterprise workloads in a rapid, automated, and self-service format. To maximize scalability, Pure Fusion eliminates the traditional role of storage clusters by interconnecting storage arrays, optimizing storage pools, and implementing no restriction on storage media types. The platform is backed by artificial intelligence-driven workload placement that automatically configures storage destinations so that users no longer have to choose individual arrays for each workload. Scaling seamlessly with Pure Storage’s Flash Array, Flash Blade, and Portworx enterprise storage platform, Pure Fusion will dramatically escalate storage performance, density, and data availability for Pure customers around the world. When asked about this pioneering development in storage technology, Pure Storage Chief Product Officer Ajay Singh called this a “significant progression in the vision of the company.” To read more about Pure Storage’s exciting breakthrough, see the Sdxcentral news article here, and the Pure Fusion solution brief here.
